- 1 onion
- 1 red bell pepper

- Add the chopped onion, red bell pepper, and minced garlic; sauté for 5 minutes until softened.
- Add the sautéed vegetables to the pot with the beans, 1 teaspoon of paprika, 1 teaspoon of salt, and ½ teaspoon of black pepper.
- Stir the mixture gently, then cover and simmer on low heat for about 1.5 hours.
- Stir occasionally, cooking until the beans are tender and fully cooked.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary before serving.
- Serve hot, optionally garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
