Manti recipe
Delicious dumplings filled with seasoned meat!
Ingredients
- 500 g all-purpose flour
- 200 ml water
- 1 tsp salt
- 400 g ground beef
- 1 onion
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 500 ml water (for steaming)
How to make Manti
- In a mixing bowl, combine 500 g of all-purpose flour, 200 ml of water, and 5 g of salt to form a smooth dough.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes, until it is smooth and elastic.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it rest for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- Finely chop 1 onion and mix with 400 g of ground beef, 5 g of salt, and 3 g of black pepper until well combined.
- Roll out the rested dough into a thin sheet about 2 mm thick and cut it into 5 cm squares.
- Place a spoonful of the meat filling in the center of each square of dough.
- Fold the square over to enclose the filling and pinch the edges firmly to seal.
- Prepare a steaming pot with water and bring it to a boil over high heat.
- Place the manti in the steamer, cover, and steam them for 30-40 minutes until the dough is tender.
- Once cooked, remove the manti from the steamer and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
