Ingredients
- 500 g chicken
- 1000 ml water
- 1 onion
- 2 bell peppers
- 1 scotch bonnet pepper
- 1 tbsp ginger
- 3 garlic
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 lime
How to make Pepper soup
- Chop 500 g of chicken into bite-sized pieces and set aside for later use.
- In a large pot, combine 2 liters of water with the chopped chicken and 1 chopped onion, bringing it to a boil over high heat.
- Add 1 diced bell pepper, 1 chopped scotch bonnet pepper, 1 teaspoon of minced ginger, and 2 minced garlic cloves to the pot.
- Season the mixture with 1 teaspoon of salt and ½ teaspoon of black pepper, stirring well before bringing back to a boil.
- Reduce the heat to medium-low and let it simmer for 20 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked and tender to the bite.
