Ingredients
- 800 g chicken
- 200 g onion
- 10 g garlic
- 10 g ginger
- 4 green chili
- 1000 ml water
- 30 ml oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp coriander powder

- Start by chopping 1 onion, 3 garlic cloves, 1 tablespoon of ginger, and 1 green chili, setting them aside.
- In a pot, heat 2 tablespoons of oil over medium heat for about 1 minute.
- Add the chopped onion and sauté until golden, approximately 5 minutes.
- Next, add the minced garlic, grated ginger, and chopped green chili; cook for 2 minutes or until fragrant, stirring continuously.
- Introduce 800 g of chicken pieces to the pot and brown them on all sides, about 5-7 minutes, watching for color changes.
- Pour in 4 cups of water into the pot and stir to combine with the chicken.
- Season with 1 teaspoon of salt, ½ teaspoon of black pepper, and 1 tablespoon of coriander powder. Mix well.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let it simmer for 30-40 minutes or until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
- Once cooked, check and adjust seasoning, then serve Jasha maroo hot with rice or bread, ensuring it is warm.
