How to make Hummus

  1. Drain and rinse 400 g of canned chickpeas under cold water in a colander until clean.
  2. In a food processor, combine the drained chickpeas, 120 g of tahini, 60 ml of olive oil, and 60 ml of lemon juice.
  3. Add 1 clove of garlic, 1 tsp of salt, and 1 tsp of cumin to the food processor.
  4. Blend all ingredients until smooth, about 2-3 minutes, adding water to reach desired consistency.
  5. Taste the hummus, adjusting salt or lemon juice to your liking as necessary.
  6. Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl carefully with a spatula.
  7. Drizzle olive oil over the hummus and sprinkle paprika on top for garnish.
  8. Serve immediately with warm pita or store in the fridge for later.
