Matoke recipe

Ingredients
- 1 green bananas
- 1 onion
- 2 tomatoes
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 500 ml water
How to make Matoke
- Peel 1 kg of green bananas and chop them into chunks.
- In a pot, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium heat. Add 1 chopped onion and sauté until golden, about 5 minutes.
- Add 2 diced tomatoes to the pot and cook until soft, about 3 minutes.
- Stir in the banana chunks, mixing well. Add 1 teaspoon of salt and 500 ml of water.
- Cover the pot and simmer for about 30 minutes until the bananas are tender.
- Remove the pot from heat and let the Matoke rest for a few minutes before serving. Serve warm as a side dish.
