How to make Cevapi

  1. Finely chop 1 onion and 3 cloves of garlic, setting aside for later use.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine 250 g of ground beef and 500 g of ground pork.
  3. Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, 2 tsp of paprika, 1 tsp of salt, 1 tsp of black pepper, 1 tsp of baking soda, and 50 ml of water.
  4. Knead the mixture with your hands for about 5 minutes until well combined and uniform in texture.
  5. Cover the mixture and let it rest for 30 minutes at room temperature.
  6. Shape the rested mixture into small sausages, approximately 10 cm long, resembling your finger size.
  7. Preheat your grill to medium heat, ensuring it's ready for cooking.
  8. Grill the cevapi for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until all sides are nicely browned.
  9. Serve the cevapi hot with pita bread and chopped onions on the side.
