  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked macaroni, sautéed onion, 200 g of grated cheddar cheese, 250 ml of milk, 1 beaten egg, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of black pepper; mix until well combined.
  5. Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish and spread evenly. Bake for 30-35 minutes at 180°C (350°F) until the top is golden and bubbly.
  6. Let the macaroni pie cool for 5-10 minutes before serving to allow it to set properly. Serve warm.
