Delicious stuffed pasta baked to perfection!
Ingredients
- 250 g caneloni tubes
- 400 g ricotta cheese
- 200 g spinach
- 100 g parmesan cheese
- 500 ml tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
How to make Canelons
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a pan, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat.
- Add 200 g of spinach to the pan and sauté until wilted, about 4 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix the cooked spinach with 100 g of ricotta cheese, adding salt and pepper to taste.
- Use a spoon to stuff the caneloni tubes with the ricotta-spinach mixture until they are full.
- Spread half of the 400 g of tomato sauce in a baking dish.
- Arrange the stuffed caneloni on top of the sauce in a single layer.
- Pour the remaining tomato sauce over the stuffed caneloni evenly.
- Sprinkle 100 g of grated parmesan cheese over the top of the dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, until the top is golden and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
