Ingredients
- 250 g all-purpose flour
- 100 ml water
- 300 g ground beef
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp coriander
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 500 ml oil
How to make Sambusa
- In a bowl, mix 250 g of all-purpose flour and 100 ml of water to form a dough. Let it rest for 20 minutes for better texture.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan over medium heat. Add 1 chopped onion and 2 minced garlic cloves. Cook until soft, about 4 minutes.
- Add 300 g of ground beef, seasoning with 1 teaspoon of cumin, 1 teaspoon of coriander, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of black pepper. Cook until browned, about 8 minutes.
- Roll out the rested dough on a floured surface and cut it into 10 circles for the sambusa wrappers.
- Place a spoonful of the beef mixture in the center of each circle. Fold the dough over and seal the edges tightly to prevent leaks.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Fry the sambusas for 4-5 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown on all sides.
- Drain the fried sambusas on paper towels before serving them hot for the best taste.
