Masala dosa recipe
A crisp crepe folded over spiced potato.
Ingredients
- 600 ml dosa batter
- 500 g potatoes
- 1 onion
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 12 curry leaves
- 1 tsp ground turmeric
- 2 green chilli
- 1 ginger
How to make Masala dosa
- Boil and roughly crush the potatoes. Temper mustard seeds and curry leaves in oil, add onion, ginger, chilli and turmeric, then the potato. Cook to a soft filling.
- Get a wide flat pan hot. Pour a ladle of batter and spread it thin in a spiral. Drizzle oil around the edge.
- Cook without turning until the underside is crisp and lifts freely.
- Lay potato down the middle, fold the crepe over and slide it out. Serve with coconut chutney.
