How to make Riz gras

  1. Chop 1 onion, 1 carrot, and 1 bell pepper into small pieces before starting.
  2. In a large pot, heat 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium heat.
  3. Sauté the chopped onion for about 5 minutes until it becomes translucent.
  4. Add 500 g of diced chicken, cooking until browned on all sides for around 8 minutes.
  5. Stir in 2 tablespoons of tomato paste, the chopped carrot, and chopped bell pepper, cooking for 5 minutes until softened.
  6. Add 400 g of rice, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of black pepper into the pot.
  7. Pour in 800 ml of water and bring the mixture to a boil.
  8. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20-25 minutes until the rice is cooked and liquid is absorbed.
  9. Fluff the rice with a fork to separate the grains before serving. Serve hot, garnished with fresh vegetables.
