Ingredients
- 500 g all-purpose flour
- 4 eggs
- 200 ml milk
- 50 g sugar
- 10 g yeast
- 10 g salt
- 30 ml olive oil
- 100 g parmesan cheese
How to make Crescia
- Dissolve 10 g of yeast in 200 ml of warm milk. Allow it to foam for about 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine 500 g of all-purpose flour, 50 g of sugar, and 1 teaspoon of salt. Mix thoroughly.
- Add 2 beaten eggs and 30 ml of olive oil to the bowl. Then, pour in the foamy yeast mixture. Combine until just mixed.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for 8-10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a bowl, cover it, and leave it in a warm place to rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Shape the risen dough into a round loaf and place it into a greased pan. Allow it to rise for an additional 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 180°C. Bake the loaf for 30 minutes until it is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
- Remove the crescia from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
